FROM SCATTERED NOTES TO BOOTH SUCCESS • BUILD EXPO AT JAVITS CENTER NYC

Renotive is an online platform that brings architects, designers, builders, contractors, and property owners together in one shared workspace to handle pre-construction planning and connect with vetted professionals. When the team prepared for Build Expo at the Javits Center in New York City this past March, they needed motion content that would capture attention in a busy hall. The request arrived with a one week deadline and nothing more than scattered notes, no clear direction, and zero prepared assets.

Discovery Session: Turning Ideas into a Clear Storyboard

The process began with a focused discovery conversation. Driftlane’s team listened closely to clarify the platform’s strengths and the audience of construction professionals walking the expo floor. From those notes came a storyboard of eight targeted scenes that explained Renotive’s workflow in a way that felt clear and compelling. A custom color palette and a short logo introduction animation rounded out the package, turning vague ideas into a cohesive video experience.

Designed Specifically for Three Vertical Screens

The final piece was designed specifically for three vertical TVs placed side by side. Scenes were arranged into three columns so the natural black edges between screens served as clean framing lines. The result looked intentional and polished, giving the booth a professional presence without any last minute adjustments.

Real Time Collaboration Through the Project Dashboard

A dedicated project manager kept everything moving through the personal dashboard. Real time checkpoints, same-day feedback rounds, and unlimited revisions made sure every detail aligned with Renotive’s vision. The team stayed in sync without back and forth emails or delays.

How the Video Performed at the Javits Center

The video looped smoothly throughout the show. Visitors paused to watch the engaging content, which helped the Renotive team stand out in the crowded hall and start more meaningful conversations. The assets created, especially the color palette and logo animation, continue to support other videos and marketing efforts today.

The quick turnaround was impressive. Driftlane took our scattered notes and turned them into a professional piece that fit the booth perfectly. It helped us connect with the right people and make a strong first impression.
